Release 2026.08-R2
Released August 8, 2026.
Any location for collection delivery options
Collection delivery options no longer need a hand-picked list of collection locations. Open a collection delivery option under Settings > Shipping Automation > Delivery Options. The Customer Collection Locations card has a new Any Location switch, on by default. With it on, customers can collect from any active collection location in their country that the merchant can use. Turn it off to pick specific locations, as before.
The maximum distance now sits behind a Collection Radius switch. Turn it on to set how far a customer can be from a collection location, or leave it off for no limit. The radius applies only when the customer's location is known.
Via the API: an empty or missing customer_collection_locations list on a collection delivery option now means any location. Before, POST /storefront/delivery-options left such an option out. Carriyo now returns it with the active collection locations in the customer's country. A request with no customer country returns no locations, so the option is still left out.
Delivery option and Storefront API validation
Requests that used to succeed with an empty or partial result now return a 400 error that names the problem.
- Paid shipping fees. Creating or updating a delivery option with a
PAIDpricing strategy requires acalculation_methodand at least onepricingentry.FIXED_PRICEentries need anamount.TIERED_ORDER_VALUEentries need at least one tier, each with anamount. Tiermin_valueandmax_valuecan't be negative, andmax_valuemust be greater thanmin_value. Before, such an option saved, and the Storefront API returned it with an emptyshipping_fee. - Line items required.
POST /storefront/delivery-optionsrequiresline_itemswith at least one item. Before, a request without items always returned an empty list. - Unknown fulfillment locations. On
POST /storefront/delivery-options, afulfillment_locationsentry that matches no location returns an error naming that entry. Before, the entry was dropped, which changed which options matched. - Shipping rates path.
POST /storefront/shipping-ratesis removed. UsePOST /carrier-accounts/shipping-rates.
Customs declaration ready reason code
A new reason code, customs_declaration_ready, marks shipments whose customs declaration is issued and waiting for inspection. The shipment status does not change. Aramex code SH713, "Shipment's Bayan Form Issued - Pending Inspection", now maps to it.
Filter the shipment list by Customs Declaration Ready, or pick it as a reason code trigger under Settings > Webhooks.
Commercial invoices and carrier updates
- Commercial invoices: Carriyo generates its own commercial invoice only for cross-border shipments. Domestic shipments no longer get one. Carrier commercial invoices and uploaded documents are not affected.
- UPS: when the sold-to address comes from the importer, Carriyo now sends its state or province code.
Carriyo MCP server: delivery option tools
Five new Delivery options tools let agents manage delivery option setup: list_delivery_options, get_delivery_option, create_delivery_option, edit_delivery_option and delete_delivery_option.
The Lookups tool get_locations also filters by location_type, collection_location, fulfillment_location and inventory_location.
Fixes
- Collection distance unit: choosing Miles before entering a maximum distance on a collection delivery option no longer saves the distance in kilometers.
