Release 2026.05-R1
Released May 18, 2026.
Customer collection and delivery methods for orders
Each fulfillment order now has a delivery method: Delivery, Collection or Digital. Customer collection covers orders the customer picks up from one of your locations instead of receiving them at home.
- Collection locations. Turn on Collection Location on a location (Settings > Locations) to let customers collect orders there.
- Collections. When items for a store collection are packed, Carriyo creates a collection with its own status: open, ready to collect, collected, expired or cancelled. Closing the collection also closes the fulfillment order.
- Auto-expire and auto-cancel. Under Settings > Order Management > Collection Management, you can expire uncollected orders after 1 to 60 days. You can also cancel expired collections after a further number of days.
- Order screen actions. Fulfillment orders have new actions on the order screen: Convert to Customer Collection, Convert to Delivery, Change Collection Location, Update Delivery Address, Change Schedule and Merge Fulfillment.
Order allocation rules
A new settings page, Settings > Order Allocation Rules, controls which fulfillment locations an order can be allocated to. Each rule has a schedule, conditions and a list of eligible locations to include or exclude, ranked by priority. Conditions include merchant, sales channel, order value, count of line items, count of unique line items, dangerous goods and product category. The page is available to tenants with an orders subscription.
Delivery options
Delivery options in Settings > Delivery Options now have a Delivery Method field. Collection delivery options take a list of Customer Collection Locations and an optional maximum distance the customer travels (in kilometers or miles). The Dropoff by Geography condition is now called Customer Geography.
Product category and digital products
Products have two new fields, Category (category) and Digital Product (digital). Both appear in the product list, the inventory list and product exports. Order line items and shipment items also carry category. When a shipment item has no category, Carriyo fills it from the product catalog. The Shopify connector imports the product category and digital flag from Shopify.
Fulfillment App
- Collect. A new page for handing collection orders to customers. Staff mark collections ready, scan parcels, and complete the handover after verifying the customer with an OTP sent by email.
- Customers. A customer list and a customer page with orders, past items, addresses and associated locations.
- Shipments. A shipment detail page where you can edit items, book or reprocess, and cancel. Shipment Upload creates shipments from a file.
- Order detail. Orders now show their collections and shipments alongside picks and packs.
- Packing. Choosing a ship zone is no longer required to complete a pack.
- Theme. Set the app's brand and background colors, for light and dark mode, under Settings > System Settings > Fulfillment App Theme in the Carriyo Dashboard.
