Review a shipment's history
The History tab gives you a timeline of every event on a Shipment, from newest to oldest. It draws key occurrences from the System Logs page and shows who or what triggered each change.
Shipment history
1. Navigate to Shipping > Shipments on the Carriyo Dashboard and select the required shipment.
The History tab follows the Summary tab. It records all events for the shipment as a timeline, from newest to oldest. The person or system responsible for each change appears alongside the event.
Click show details on any event to see more information, when that option is available.
Errors appear in the same way as they do on the Summary tab. Notifications sent to recipients are also recorded in the History tab.
Analyzing shipping rule assignment
Shipping rule assignment is displayed in more detail than other events. Rules can be skipped when a condition prevents a shipment from being assigned to a specific carrier.
An example is shown below:
The Applied Rule Set is selected based on the merchant and pickup country entered for the shipment. The pre-filtered rules shown below belong to that rule set. Pre-filtering applies additional checks against shipment attributes such as payment type and delivery type. Rules are then evaluated in priority order within the rule set.
The reason for skipping a rule is also shown. Dropoff and pickup location checks run first. Further checks include carrier network and carrier capacity.
To examine an event in detail, navigate to the System Logs page.
You can also refresh the page, access more options from the three-dot menu in the top-right corner, or review changes to shipment details by clicking View Change Log.
