Create and manage a manifest
Use this page to create and manage a Manifest, a packing list that groups Shipments by carrier for end-of-day carrier collection.
A manifest groups shipments with the same carrier into a single packing list. Manifests make carrier collection easier and more reliable. You can schedule and reschedule the pickup with the carrier from within the manifest.
Enabling multi-location manifests
Navigate to Settings > Account > System Settings on the Carriyo Dashboard. Enable the Multi-Location Manifests toggle. This lets you create manifests from multiple pickup locations across different merchants. When disabled, each manifest is limited to a single pickup location.
Note: Only Admin roles can change this setting.
Creating a manifest
1. Navigate to Shipping > Manifests on the Carriyo Dashboard. The page lists all existing manifests. Click the add icon in the top-right corner to create a new manifest.
Use the columns, filter, search, and quick-filter options to find and display relevant information.
2. Enter a name and select the carrier account for the shipments. Select the locations and the ship from location. This is the final pickup point from which the carrier collects the shipments. Merchants do not need to be the same across all shipments. Select All Merchants from the dropdown if the shipments belong to different merchants.
Enter the Pickup Schedule manually or use the Date-Time picker (click the calendar icon).
3. Add Shipments using Add Shipments or Scan Shipment. Only Shipments in Booked or Ready to ship status can be added to a Manifest.
4. For a shipment to appear in the Add shipments dialog, its carrier account, merchant, and pickup location must match the manifest details. You can select individual shipments or use filters. Click Add Shipments at the bottom of the dialog once your selection is complete.
Check the box in the header row to select all displayed Shipments.
5. The Scan Shipments option lets you scan a shipment ID or enter an order number, reference number, or tracking number. Click Add Shipments once all shipments are scanned or entered.
6. Click Save once shipments are added to the packing list. Click any shipment to open its shipment detail page. The delete option removes all shipments from the manifest, provided the manifest is still in Draft status.
Managing a manifest
1. To move a manifest from Draft to Ready to ship, click the three-dot menu and click Confirm. This declares the manifest as a packing list to the carrier. You can also cancel the manifest from this menu. View change log shows all changes made to the manifest.
2. Once the manifest is in Ready to ship status, the label is ready to print. Click the print icon in the Documents column to print the manifest label.
3. To move the manifest to Shipped, click Ship. Once shipped, the manifest cannot be canceled. Click Reschedule to change the pickup schedule.
4. View shipment statuses by opening the manifest from the Manifests page.
5. On the Shipments list page, filter by Manifest ID to see all shipments in a specific manifest.
