Create a pre-booked shipment

Use this page to create a pre-booked shipment in the Carriyo Dashboard for a parcel that was already booked and tracked outside of Carriyo.

A pre-booked shipment is a shipment whose tracking number was generated at the warehouse before the record was created in Carriyo. This differs from a normal shipment, where booking and tracking number generation happen through Carriyo. All operations after creation work the same as for a regular shipment.

You can map carrier accounts to pre-booked shipments in the Account System settings.

Creating a pre-booked shipment

1. Navigate to Shipping > Shipments on the Carriyo Dashboard. Click the add icon. To create a pre-booked reverse shipment, set shipment type to Reverse and follow the same steps.

2. Enter all relevant details. Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required. Click + add custom attributes to add custom attributes, see Manage shipment attributes to define them first.

3. Click the respective buttons to add parcels and items. To schedule collection and delivery, click + add collection and delivery schedule. Once all details are entered, save as a draft or click Track Shipment.

To track a pre-booked shipment, click View Tracking Page. See Track a shipment.

Converting to a pre-booked shipment

You can convert a shipment in draft status to a pre-booked shipment using this option.
