Estimate shipping cost
Use this page to see a cost breakdown for a Shipment before you book it.
Cost estimation runs during shipment creation, before booking. It shows the shipping cost, taxes, and other charges. Use it to compare rates across different carrier accounts. For shipments already in draft status, use Get shipping rates instead.

Estimating shipping cost
1. To fetch rates from the carrier API, enable the Carrier Shipping Rates toggle. If disabled, rates come from the Carriyo costing engine using predefined rules in Carriers > Costing. See Set up costing profiles.
2. Navigate to Shipping > Shipments on the Carriyo Dashboard. Create a forward or reverse shipment.
3. Enter all required details, assign a carrier, and click Calculate. The cost breakdown appears. To adjust, modify the details and click Calculate again. To compare a different carrier, select it and click Calculate again.
4. After booking, the cost details appear under the Estimated Cost section below Documents.
