Manage users
Create and manage Dashboard users, assign roles, and control access to merchants and data filters.
Each account has a fixed limit on user seats. A user's role determines which features they can access. Admin users can also set merchant access permissions and data filters for users with lower roles.
Adding a new user follows this process:
- An Admin configures the user with the required role and settings.
- Clicking Send Invitation sends an invite to the user's email address.
- The user follows the link in the email to set their password.

How to create users
1. Navigate to Settings > Users on the Carriyo Dashboard. Click the add button in the top-right corner. A dialog box opens for you to enter the email address or username.
2. Select the user ID type, External (SSO) User ID or Carriyo User ID, enter a username, and click Next.
3. Assign a role to the user and configure merchant access and data filters. Merchant access limits the user to specific merchants. Data filters restrict the user to shipments to or from specific locations. You can also scope data filters to locations within specific countries.
Operations on user entities
You can delete or edit users. The reset password option sends an email to the address configured for the account.
Set a user account to inactive to suspend it temporarily without deleting it permanently.
Use the quick filters to view accounts by status. Pending invitations are accounts where the user has not yet completed setup. For these accounts, you can resend the invitation or delete the account.
Importing and exporting users
You can also export and import users. Download the provided template to prepare your import file. Click the export button to download the current user list to your system.
