Manage merchants

Add and manage the Merchants that represent your brands, business units, or sales channels within a Carriyo account. Merchants are required to create and book shipments. You can restrict access to specific merchants for lower access roles.

Adding a merchant

1. Navigate to Settings > Administration > Merchants on the Carriyo Dashboard.

2. The page lists all existing merchants for the account. Click + add merchant to create a new one.

3. Assign a unique Merchant ID and name. This name appears throughout the Dashboard. Upload the display logo and confirm the merchant is active.

4. The sections below explain merchant features, options, and subscription settings.

Merchant Features
  • Automatic Shipment Language Detection, detects the language of shipment details as you enter them.

CX Apps features

  • Branded Feedback Loop, enables a branded Feedback Loop page URL and the feedback loop embedded in tracking pages for this merchant. Customize it in CX Apps.
  • Branded Pinpoint Location, lets customers of this merchant pin their address on Google Maps for faster delivery.
  • Returns Management, enables the Returns Portal for this merchant.

Notifications features

  • Email Notifications, allows sending email notifications to this merchant's customers.
  • SMS Notifications, allows sending SMS notifications to this merchant's customers.
  • WhatsApp for Business Notifications, allows sending WhatsApp notifications to this merchant's customers.
  • Catalog Images, enables display of item images in the Carriyo Items catalog.
Merchant Settings
  • Use Merchant Specific Notification Triggers and Templates, allows merchants to use customized triggers and templates for email, SMS, and WhatsApp.

Subscription Settings
  • Premium Tracking Page, enables the Carriyo tracking page with customization options for individual merchants.

4. Click Save when done.

Managing merchants

The only action available on a merchant is activation or deactivation. Use deactivation when a merchant is no longer active or you need it only for a specific period.

Click the merchant ID to edit its properties or settings.
