Configure account system settings
Configure tenant-level settings that affect shipment validation, document behavior, language translations, and carrier mappings across your Carriyo account.
Setting up
1. Navigate to Settings > Account > System Settings on the Carriyo Dashboard.
Each section is explained below.
System settings
Default Country, The primary country of your business operations. Used when generating test and sample data.
Default Currency, Your preferred currency in Carriyo. Also used when generating test and sample data.
Rule Sets, When enabled, automation and service-level rules are grouped within rulesets. When disabled, rules exist independently without rulesets.
Document URL Expiration, When enabled, document links (AWB, Commercial Invoice, etc.) expire after the specified lifetime. This limits exposure if links are accidentally leaked. The maximum expiration time is 7 days. This setting cannot be disabled once set.
Multi-Location Manifests, When enabled, manifests can be created across multiple locations and merchants.
Data validation
Required Phone Number, When enabled, a shipment without a primary phone number for the pickup or dropoff contact is set to Error status until corrected. Phone number is also mandatory when creating a Location.
Validate Phone Number, When enabled, a phone number that fails validation criteria sets the shipment or location to Error status. Disable this toggle to skip validation and prevent shipments from moving to Error due to incorrect numbers. Note: Incorrect phone numbers can affect SMS notifications and carrier communications.
Required Email Address, When enabled, a shipment without an email address for the pickup or dropoff contact is set to Error status until corrected. Email address is also mandatory when creating a Location.
Validate Email Address, When enabled, an email address that fails validation criteria sets the shipment or location to Error status. Note: Incorrect email addresses can affect email notifications.
Validate Parcel Items, When enabled, Carriyo checks that parcels contain shipment items with correct SKUs and quantities. Disable this validation if you sell bundled products and do not need parcel-level validation.
Unique Location Names, By default, location names must be unique. When enabled, duplicate location names are allowed. Keep this setting disabled unless you expect to create multiple locations with the same name.
Translation languages
To translate content in CX Apps (tracking page, returns portal) and Notifications (by destination country), add languages at the account level. English is the default and cannot be deleted. Click + add record to add a language. The only action available on an existing entry is delete.
Test data
Test data is useful for newly configured accounts that do not yet have shipments or carrier accounts. Select a merchant and countries from the dropdowns and click Load Data to generate test data. Once generated, you can keep it or remove it using Delete Data.
Pre-booked carrier mapping
Pre-booked carrier mappings apply to shipments that arrive in Carriyo via Shopify. When a Shopify order matches an input carrier configured here, Carriyo uses the mapped carrier account.
Click + add record to create a new mapping. Each entry supports edit and delete actions.
