Manage notification templates
Create and edit the templates that control the content of outbound customer notifications. Before configuring templates, ensure countries, triggers, and languages are set up. See Configure notification settings.
Templates for Forward and Reverse shipments, return requests, and Pinpoint Locations are configured in their dedicated sections. Email, SMS, and WhatsApp notifications are managed separately within each section.
Setting up notification templates
1. Navigate to Notifications on the Carriyo Dashboard and choose a subsection. The configuration process is similar across all subsections. For each trigger you add, templates are provided in all languages configured in the settings.
Click + add to add a trigger and select the status from the list.
Note: Country-specific triggers override Any Country triggers.
Triggers can be activated, deactivated, or deleted.
No templates are set by default. Click any template to edit its content.
On the template edit page, click the shipment ID to change the shipment used for the preview. A popup lets you select a different shipment. The page offers two views: Preview (default) and Code.
Click Code to switch to Code view and edit the template directly. Templates use the Liquid template language for building dynamic HTML pages. Click the link at the top to learn more about Liquid. Use the Tags option on the right to insert tags. Not all tags appear there, refer to the API docs for additional tags.
To reset the content to the previous version, use the reset option in the three-dot menu. Click Save when done. The dropdown at the top lets you switch between templates.
SMS
To configure SMS templates, click the SMS tab.
Click the shipment ID to change the preview shipment. The left panel is the SMS editor; the right panel shows the preview. Use the Tags option to insert tags. The character count is displayed in the editor.
This page includes the same dropdown and reset options as the email template editor. Click Save when done.
WhatsApp templates require the same template name and parameters as configured in WhatsApp. Once you enter the template name, the test template option next to the Tags option becomes available. Use it to send a test message to a phone number.
Click Save when done.
