Use Orders to capture a new customer order in Carriyo. An order carries line items, customer details, and delivery instructions, and becomes the source for downstream allocation and shipment creation.
Creating an order
- Dashboard path: Orders > Create order.
- Prerequisites: at least one merchant and one delivery location configured.
- Step 1: Enter customer details (name, contact info, addresses).
- Step 2: Add line items (SKU, quantity, unit price). Carriyo resolves SKUs against the product catalog.
- Step 3: Set order attributes (payment type, delivery option, custom attributes).
- Step 4: Save the order as draft or confirm immediately.
What happens next
- Draft orders can still be edited.
- Confirmed orders move into the allocation workflow if order allocation is enabled.
- The order lifecycle continues into fulfillment and shipping.
