Use Orders to capture a new customer order in Carriyo. An order carries line items, customer details, and delivery instructions, and becomes the source for downstream allocation and shipment creation.

Creating an order

  • Dashboard path: Orders > Create order.
  • Prerequisites: at least one merchant and one delivery location configured.
  • Step 1: Enter customer details (name, contact info, addresses).
  • Step 2: Add line items (SKU, quantity, unit price). Carriyo resolves SKUs against the product catalog.
  • Step 3: Set order attributes (payment type, delivery option, custom attributes).
  • Step 4: Save the order as draft or confirm immediately.

What happens next

  • Draft orders can still be edited.
  • Confirmed orders move into the allocation workflow if order allocation is enabled.
  • The order lifecycle continues into fulfillment and shipping.
