Use service level rules to define the processing, collection, delivery, and customer-promise SLAs for your shipments. Of these, only the customer promise is customer-facing, the other three are internal targets used to identify shipments that are late or at risk. Rules are contained within service level sets and are checked in priority order.

The four service level types in Carriyo are Processing, Collection, Delivery, and customer promise.

Creating a service level rule

1. Navigate to Shipping > service levels on the Carriyo Dashboard. Select the desired service level set (edit if needed) or create a new one. See Set up service level sets for instructions. If sets are disabled for your account, you can create rules directly.

Select the service level type. In the example shown, Processing for forward shipments is selected. Click the respective title to switch types. Click the add icon in the top-right corner to create a new rule.

2. Give the rule a name and description. Change the service level type from the dropdown if needed. Set the rule to active. The service level set section shows the selected set, which determines the available Merchant and Pickup Country conditions.

The Schedule option limits the rule to shipments booked within a configured time window. A separate option requires that orders placed within the weekly schedule meet the service level within the specified time frame.

3. Select the Conditions that must apply. Merchant and Pickup Country values are inherited from the set and are limited to the values configured there.

4. Click Save when all required changes are made.

Managing service level rules

You can edit, duplicate, or delete a rule. Click the rule name to open it for editing.

Drag and drop rules to change their priority. Rule order affects which rule is applied first.

Activating and deactivating service level rules

Deactivate rules that are only used periodically. This avoids the need to delete and recreate them. You can reactivate a rule at any time.
