3. Schedule Collection

Carriyo allows merchants to schedule collection for shipments. For on-demand carriers, this can be a request to collect shipment as soon as it is ready for ship.

This operation can be a separate endpoint in the carrier API, to schedule the collection after the shipment is created; or the schedule can be included as part of the shipment creation call.

We obviously prefer to have a separate collection endpoint, as it offers more flexibility for the merchant to schedule or reschedule collection independent of the shipment creation.

Carriyo also has a way to send collection request in bulk for multiple shipments in one call. This has obvious advantages in terms of efficiency when we are dealing with merchants with high shipment volume.
