Create and manage locations

Use Locations to store reusable pickup and drop-off addresses for your shipments. A Location represents a physical shipping point. Instead of entering a full address each time, you select the location code and Carriyo fills the address automatically.

Set up at least one Location when creating your account. Most account types require Locations for forward and reverse shipments, freeform addresses are not allowed. Each Location has a unique location code and a unique location name. You can associate a Location with specific merchants or with all merchants, including those added in the future.

Creating a location

1. Navigate to Settings > Administration > Locations in the Carriyo Dashboard. The list shows all existing locations configured for the account.

2. The location name and code appear in the first two columns. Click the add icon in the top-right corner to create a new location. You can also search for a location by name or code.

3. All fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required. The details you enter auto-fill addresses when you use the location code as a pickup or drop-off point. Click + more options to enter an alternate phone number, precise coordinates (latitude and longitude), and a what3words address. Set the status to active before saving. Click Save when all details are correct.

Edit, duplicate, or delete a location

Click the three-dot menu icon in the rightmost column to edit, duplicate, or delete a location. You can also click the location name to edit it directly.

Activating and deactivating locations

Toggle the switch to deactivate a location that is not currently in use. You can reactivate it when needed. An inactive location cannot be used anywhere and will affect shipping rules, manifests, and service levels that reference it.
